Lord Heseltine Launches Regional Growth Fund
Thursday, 20 January 2011 9.00 AM
As the deadline set by the government for submission of projects to be considered for the new Regional Growth Fund approaches, Lord Heseltine recently visited Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Park as part of a national roadshow to explain the criteria being set for consideration of projects. Four projects were named as priorities as part of the local regions successful bid to establish one of the first local enterprise partnerships (known as LEPs) which are intended to take over some of the work currently undertaken by the Regional Development Agency when it is abolished next year.
Lord Heseltine was welcomed by Mr James Newman, past Master Cutler and Local Enterprise Partnership chairman.
A conference set and audio visual support for the event was supplied by CVC event services.
